What we collect
We may collect contact details, account information, business profile data, booking
details, messages you send to us, support requests, device and browser information,
and content you choose to upload or submit through the site or related services.
In plain language: we collect the information needed to run your account, keep the service secure,
and support the booking experience without asking for more than we need.
How we use it
We use information to provide the service, process bookings, respond to requests,
support onboarding, improve the experience, send important notices, and meet legal
or security obligations.
We use operational data to keep the site trustworthy and fast, not to create surprises for customers.
When information is shared
We may share information with service providers that help us run hosting, messaging,
analytics, payments, and customer support. We may also share information when required
by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent abuse or fraud.
- Service providers only receive the data needed to perform their work.
- We do not sell customer personal information.
- We may disclose information to protect users, customers, and the service.
SMS / text messages
When customers provide a mobile number on a booking form, Blade & Bristle Barbershop
sends transactional SMS (booking confirmations, reminders,
cancellations, check-in instructions) on behalf of the booking
business over toll-free 866-682-7234. The booking
business is the first-party sender; Blade & Bristle Barbershop is the messaging
facilitator. Marketing/promotional messages are sent only when the
customer separately opts in via a second checkbox.
- Customers consent to transactional SMS at the time of phone-number collection on the booking form.
- Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help, START to opt back in. Msg & data rates may apply.
- We do not share customer phone numbers with third parties for marketing.
Full disclosure of the opt-in flow, sample messages, and frequency
caps is published at
SMS policy.
Browser push notifications
Browser push is optional and controlled separately for transactional
appointment notices and marketing offers. Transactional push covers
booking confirmations, reminders, cancellations, and service updates
requested by the customer. Marketing push covers promotions, loyalty
nudges, and last-minute openings, and is off unless the customer opts
in.
- Customers can keep transactional push on while turning marketing push off.
- Marketing push consent can be withdrawn in My Account without deleting the browser subscription.
- Each push consent change is recorded for auditability.
Security and retention
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect
account data. We keep information only as long as needed for business operations,
legal requirements, or the support of an active account relationship.
Your choices and rights
You may review or update account details, manage communication preferences, request
access to your data, request correction or deletion where applicable, or contact us
with privacy questions.
EU and UK users may also have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object,
and receive portable copies of personal data where applicable.
Account deletion grace window. When you delete your account
from My Account, we mark it for 30 days account-deletion grace window before irreversible purge. During that window
you can restore the account by following the link in the confirmation email we send
you. After the grace window the deletion is irreversible.
Linked sign-in providers. If your account is linked
to a third-party identity provider such as Google, account deletion also
stops future access with that provider where supported, so we no longer
keep the sign-in connection active.
Sub-processors. A current dated list of sub-processors Blade & Bristle Barbershop
uses to deliver the service is published at
/subprocessors.
